Chow Bella is a pop-up restaurant inspired by generations of Italian and Chinese home cooking. It blends bold flavours, playful creativity, and a social, limited-time dining experience that reimagines familiar dishes in unexpected ways.
To you, the combination might sound ridiculous, but to us, they’re kindred spirits.
We are just two twin brothers who love to eat, cook and serve above anything else.
In the summer of 2025, the two of us got seasonal jobs working in a campsite restaurant. A beautifully converted barn with an enormous kitchen. For the first time, the two of us worked in absolute harmony - attributed to the imbalance of knowledge we had. We’d always spoken about having a restaurant, but here we actually got to test it out.
We finished that summer knowing we could do it, so we got to work on dishes, and we didn’t need to look far. Our mum has learnt Chinese cooking from our Chinese grandmother, and through years of living in England and stubborn Italian blood coursing through her veins, she adapted these Chinese dishes with Italian technique and Western ingredients. The food at our house, like us, doesn’t belong to either cuisine, but creates a space between them where we can be proud of the fact that we are a mixture of more than one. People often ask us if we can speak our ancestors' language - slightly embarrassed we say no, but we can cook it.

Chow Bella is a movement, and the bridge between East and West is being built. The gap between two seemingly different cultures is filled. It’s more than just a plate of food, but about community and collaboration. It’s about making us feel proud to be a mixture of cultures, and consoling us when we feel embarrassed we don’t speak the language.
It’s homely and approachable, feeling personable and comforting. It’s inclusive, not overly polished, rooted in culture, family, and real hospitality. It’s people driven with your experience out with friends and family being placed even above the taste of the food. To dine with us should feel as though you are a part of the story, and to be a part of the space between worlds you or your friends might not truly know.
